Meet Beth
My name is Beth Fuller. I am the Democratic nominee for Georgia’s State House District 53. I’m a Georgia native, and I’ve spent my life working to keep Georgia families safe and healthy. Until recently, I served as a contractor for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta. After a decade of service, my contract along with thousands of other Georgia jobs, was abruptly terminated.
I graduated from Emory University as my parents did before me. Growing up in Atlanta, I spent time on my grandfather’s farm in Roswell, visiting my cousins in Sandy Springs, and rafting down the Chattahoochee. My Georgia roots and my love for our state run deep.
My husband John also grew up in Atlanta. He is an attorney by day and musician by night. We first met as 4 year olds at the “Out of Doors” school in Druid Hills! And here we are now, married and raising two boys together, Timothy (16) and Amir (9). Life is full of wonderful surprises—falling in love and building a family with a childhood friend is one of them.
The opportunity to run for State House and serve the people in District 53 after the abrupt termination of my CDC contract was another one of life’s surprises. I never planned to enter politics, but building healthy communities is my passion. When the opportunity to run for this seat arose, I knew I had to say yes. I want to bring my public health expertise to policy making in Georgia. I know we can do better!
